Remanufacturing Process
We don't just recycle old gas pumps / dispensers and parts. We rebuild them. And our process is thorough. That's why you can trust PPI for remanufactured / rebuilt gas pumps / dispensers that are "island-ready" every time.

Here's how we do it:
- Step 1: Completely disassemble the gas pump / dispenser and sandblast or bead-blast the entire frame and other major components.
- Step 2: Paint the entire gas pump / dispenser frame and interior with rust-inhibitor paint.
- Step 3: Bring all of the internal wiring to OEM specs.
- Step 4: Install new reset switches and springs.
- Step 5: Install new o-rings, gaskets, and seals, including both fluid-handling items and trim items.
- Step 6: Rebuild the mechanical computers, regardless of their apparent condition.
- Step 7: Rebuild meters, regardless of their apparent condition.
- Step 8: Install new filters.
- Step 9: Test pulsers and rebuild them as necessary.
- Step 10: Test all electronic boards and rebuild them as necessary.
- Step 11: Replace all plastic display windows.
- Step 12: Replace all instructional and total-sale decals.
- Step 13: Replace all of the exterior metal and trim with new OEM-quality material, then fit and finish it.
- Step 14: Test the gas pump / dispenser by actually pumping product.
- Step 15: Check meter calibration ranges to ensure that the gas pump / dispenser is ready for island setup.
- Step 16: Conduct controlled, high-pressure fluid and air tests to ensure that there are no leaks.
- Step 17: Securely box and palletize the gas pump / dispenser unit for safe shipment.
- Step 18: Conduct a quality-control inspection upon completion of the remanufacturing process, and enclose the QC Checklist with the gas pump / dispenser when it's shipped.
